The Spring Cleanse

🌿 The Spring Cleanse: The Week We Actually Do the Thing

April 27, 2026‱3 min read

Last week we set the stage. We prepped. We cleared some space. We got intentional. This week...we do the cleanse!

And before anyone panics or starts imagining a week of lemon water and suffering
 let’s be very clear:

This is not about extremes or deprivation....and definitely not about “being perfect.”

This is about supporting what your body already knows how to do.

đŸŒ± First, a Reality Check (and a Deep Breath)

If you do one thing this week
 it counts.

  • If you drink the tea once a day → it counts

  • If you add a few more whole foods → it counts

  • If you simply become more aware → it counts

Health doesn’t come from one perfect week, but from small, repeated actions that move you forward. You know, consistency.

🧠 Why a “Cleanse” at All?

Your body is already equipped with a built-in detox system.

At the center of it all?
👉 Your liver

đŸ«€ The Liver: Your Body’s Built-In Filter

Think of your liver as your body’s processing plant. working 24/7 to:

  • Filter toxins from food, alcohol, medications, and the environment

  • Break down hormones and metabolic byproducts

  • Support digestion (through bile production)

  • Help regulate blood sugar and energy use

The says, "No days off"...and certainly doesn’t need a juice cleanse to “turn on.”

But

👉 It does benefit from support., especially after a long winter of:

  • Heavier foods

  • Less movement

  • Less sunlight

  • More stress (um, life)

A cleanse, done right, is simply:
👉 reducing the load
👉 increasing the support

Just that simple.

🌿 What We’re Doing This Week

This week is about simplifying and supporting, not punishing or restricting. And absolutely not overhauling your life.

Focus on:

  • Whole, minimally processed foods

  • Hydration (half your body weight in ounces is a great target)

  • Daily herbal tea (your simple “cleanse anchor”)

  • Regular eating patterns (don’t skip meals—this matters more than you think)

  • Gentle movement + fresh air

đŸ” The Tea (Your Daily Reset Button)

If everything else feels like too much—start here.

One cup a day.

That’s it.

It’s a moment to:

  • Pause

  • Hydrate

  • Support digestion

  • Signal to your body: we’re taking care of things this week

Simple. Effective. Repeatable.

I mention a few in the video, but a simple ginger tea will do the trick in a pinch.

đŸ„— What This Is NOT

  • ❌ Not a starvation plan

  • ❌ Not cutting out entire food groups for the sake of it

  • ❌ Not a “quick fix”

🧠 What This IS

  • ✔ A reset in awareness

  • ✔ A shift toward whole, supportive habits

  • ✔ A way to reduce inflammation and give your body a break

  • ✔ A reminder that your body works best when you work with it

I walk you through exactly how to approach this week—what to focus on, what to ignore, and how to make this actually work in real life.

đŸŒ± Real Talk (Because You Know I Will)

You don’t need to do everything. Maybe just some pieces.

You don’t need to do it perfectly. You just need to do something—consistently—this week.

Shake off the winter.
Support your body.
Build a little momentum.

Because that’s how real change happens.

Your Life. Only Healthier.
